Strategic human resources management
Human Resources are the basis for the competitiveness and performance of organizations.
This assertion gives Human Resources management decisions and activities a strategic dimension in the management of organizations.
Thus, the Human Resources function is breaking out of its administrative straitjacket and fully asserting its strategic role.
Strategic Human Resources Management has been developed on the basis of three major series of observations:- The pace and extent of the transformations in the organizations' environment;- The need to create new strategic and organizational skills;- The new intelligence of Human Resources.
Innovation, quality and flexibility are to be credited to creative and autonomous Human Resources. Thus, Strategic Human Resources Management contributes not only to a new reading of the organization but also to a strategic repositioning of the Human Resources function and to a new way of considering Human Resources.
