Motivation is an inner drive that prompts individuals to work to achieve organizational set targtes.
Many scholars such as Skinner, Maslow, Herzberg, Vroom, Campfield and Douglas McGregor have written on motivation.
The purpose of study is not to discuss all the relevant theories of motivation but focuses on Herzberg‘s two-sets theory of motivation.
Herzberg examined elements in job that make employees satisfied or disatisfied.
The study applied the dual theory to the management of Makerere University Academic Staffs in Uganda.
Sisto Otim Oywak is born on 28 April 1972 in Owinykibul, South Sudan.
He holds BA from Urbanian University Rome, MA in Educational Management of Makerere University, and currently pursuing a PhD Candidate in Educational Leadership at the Catholic University of Eastern Africa.
He worked for various national and international organizations.
